Welcome to the new Jewish Educational Services site!

And More

In addition to Communities of Practice (CoP’s), Conferences, and Coaching we offer many other opportunities for educators to develop new skills and learn new concepts.

Teacher Helpline – A confidential space for new and veteran teachers to get advice from professionals who know education and our community schools.

Educator Expo – There’s a wealth of talent among Baltimore Jewish educators! The Educator Expo highlights talented local teachers by showcasing their original ideas, strategies and methods that meet best practices in education. A fun twist on Professional Development, teachers can learn from each other and be treated to a fun experience.

School-Based Workshops – Call us for a customized professional development for your school or team – ANYTIME of the year.

B’More Inclusive Workshops – Bring in our specialist to provide an interactive disability awareness experience with a Jewish lens to help students incorporate life lessons about appreciating what every person, created on purpose exactly the way they were meant to be, contributes to the class. We also provide training to educators on how to weave inclusion and awareness concepts into their teaching. Teachers learn how to navigate age-appropriate discussions like Who in the Torah had a disability and what did he accomplish for the Jewish people? What does an inclusive classroom community look like? What is “normal?” What do we look for in a friend? Can we be friends with someone who looks or behaves differently? This includes additional follow-up resources so that the conversation doesn’t stop here!

Work That Speaks Volumes

I just wanted to thank you again for a magical experience observing the 4’s classroom at the Stoler Early Learning Center at the JCC Owings Mills. The teacher’s warm teaching style, her inviting classroom, and her engaging “invitations to play” following story time truly inspired me. What a great opportunity this is for all educators – new and experienced – to become energized and to learn something new through your EC Spotlights program.
