About Susan
Susan Garfinkel earned her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University. Following five years of teaching in Harford County Public Schools, she transitioned her focus to working with students with learning differences.
With over 25 years of experience, she is certified in Orton-Gillingham and deeply committed to helping students reach their academic goals. Additionally, Susan previously supervised student teachers at Stevenson University, imparting her expertise to prepare future educators.
Outside of her professional life, she cherishes spending time with her husband, two grown children, and their dog.
Work that speaks volumes
From a young age, I’ve thrived on assisting others. Becoming a teacher was a natural choice for me because I find immense joy in witnessing that ‘aha’ moment when students grasp new concepts. It’s incredibly rewarding to play a part in their learning journey and see their understanding grow.
