About Leah

Leah Golfeyz is a creative, dynamic, and innovative special educator with 20 years of experience in Jewish education. She joined SHEMESH as a Special Education and Support Consultant after previously working at Ohr Chadash Academy as the Director of Special Education Services for grades K-8 and as the Early Childhood Center Director.

Leah taught in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle and High School and was a professor of Instructional Design at Maalot-Gratz College. Leah’s expertise includes coaching teachers on classroom management, differentiated instruction, and child-centered approaches to early childhood curriculum.

Leah has received training as a Hidden Sparks Coach and Jewish New Teachers Project Administrator, and is also trained in many other methodologies such as Orton Gillingham, Phono Graphix, Visualize and Verbalize, and Musgatova Neurosensory Motor Reflex Integration.  Leah facilitates professional development for local schools as an MSDE approved Trainer or Trainer. Leah holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University
