About Chaya
Chaya has been mentoring teachers for fifteen years. She was trained as a mentor and presenter via the Jewish New Teacher Project and the New Teacher Center. Prior to her work as a mentor, she served as a reading specialist and administrative intern at Clarkstown Central School District. Chaya has taught both Elementary and High School in various Yeshiva Day schools.
She holds two master’s degrees in education from Long Island University – in Reading and in Educational Leadership and Administration. Chaya proudly hails from New York.
In Baltimore, Chaya mentors new teachers and develops and presents professional development. Chaya is passionate about reaching students through excellent, student-centered education. When not at work, she loves spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, and visiting new places.
