Shinshinim Bring Remembrance, Renewal, and Connection to Our Community

Our amazing Shinshinim continue to stay busy and make a meaningful impact across our community. They marked Yom HaSafah HaIvrit (Hebrew Language Day) at local schools and celebrated the life and legacy of Dugo, a Holocaust survivor who chose to celebrate life by eating falafel each year on the day he survived the death march. They also continue to cook and engage families through the Shinshinim Supper Club, which has been a real hit!
The Shinshinim commemorated the life of Eyal Twito, a ’20-21 Baltimore Shinshin who was killed two years ago in the war. As part of this meaningful remembrance, they spoke about Eyal and led pie‑making activities with students, a dessert that Eyal truly loved.
And, together with The Associated’s Shlicha, the Shinshinim led a Tu B’Shevat Seder for Associated Staff on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, celebrating renewal and growth while honoring the significance of the day through stories and reflection.
