Educators Zoom In on Growth

This summer, Jewish Educational Services (JES) expanded access to professional learning through its new Zoom In This Summer virtual series, helping educators build practical skills they can immediately apply in the classroom. Developed in response to educator feedback which demonstrated strong demand for flexible, accessible professional development, the pilot program attracted 50 teachers from 18 schools. Topics included inclusive classroom practices, student independence, and effective classroom management, with many participants attending all three sessions. JES also launched a new Lunch ‘N Learn series, engaging 26 educators (18 in person and 8 via Zoom) in collaborative learning focused on student engagement. This program will continue throughout the year on-site at the schools by request. Together, these initiatives strengthened educator practice, fostered cross-school collaboration, and reinforced JES’s commitment to equipping teachers with high-impact strategies that support student success.
