Educator Awards Celebration

As part of JES’s Teacher Appreciation initiative, each year we recognize several outstanding teachers in the community, nominated by community members and members of their school communities. 

One distinguished educator receives the Sam Kahan Distinguished Educator for Excellence in Jewish Education Award. This award was established by Sam Kahan upon completion of his service to the Associated as Campaign Chair and continued by his family in order to honor Sam for his many years of community leadership. This award perpetuates Sam’s legacy of personal commitment to Jewish education and to strengthening Baltimore’s Jewish educational institutions. The recipient is a master Jewish educator who serves as an inspiration to both students and peers.

We are very excited to celebrate all of the educators in our community on Monday, May 12 at the Awards Celebration.  They are the guiding lights of our schools, illuminating the path for our students with wisdom, dedication, and heart. Please join us for a meaningful and star-studded evening to celebrate and show thanks to the dedicated educators in our Baltimore Jewish Schools.
