A Day of Inspiration and Play with Lisa Murphy, The Ooey Gooey® Lady

We are excited to welcome more than 275 early childhood educators to our 2026 Early Childhood Conference on Monday, March 9, 2026, featuring nationally renowned presenter Lisa Murphy, also known as The Ooey Gooey® Lady. Lisa is celebrated for her energetic, heartfelt, and highly engaging approach to early childhood education, and her ability to captivate large audiences with humor, expertise, and genuine passion for child‑centered learning.
This year’s conference is designed to be a full, immersive day of learning and connection. The morning begins with Lisa’s inspiring keynote, What If Today Was Their Only Day?, inviting educators to reflect on the power of everyday interactions and the importance of creating meaningful, joyful experiences for children. Participants will then dive into hands‑on Ooey Gooey® demonstrations, exploring sensory‑rich activities that spark curiosity and creativity in young learners.
After lunch, the energy continues with a lively session on finger plays, songs, and language‑building routines that can be used immediately in classrooms. The day concludes with Lisa Murphy on Play, a thoughtful and energizing exploration of why play matters and how educators can confidently advocate for developmentally appropriate practice. Lisa blends research, real‑world stories, and humor in a way that leaves participants feeling both validated and re‑energized in their work.
Throughout the day, educators will have access to snacks and a variety of movement and sensory stations designed to support comfort, engagement, and well‑being. Participants are encouraged to stretch, move, and take breaks as needed, reflecting the same responsive and respectful approach we aim to offer children in our classrooms.
All materials for hands‑on participation will be provided, along with 5.5 Core of Knowledge hours for attendees.
We look forward to welcoming our community for a day that promises connection, creativity, laughter, and a renewed appreciation for the power of play in early childhood.
